Hill the 36-year-old was acquired from the Oakland Athletics at the trade deadline last week. He was part of a package deal that included Josh Reddick and three Dodger prospects.
Los Angeles has been seeking rotation help with the injuries to Brett Anderson, Clayton Kershaw, and Hyun-jin Ryu. The hope is that the blister will be healed and Hill can get on the mound and start on Friday.
