The 24-year-old has played in 14 games this season, starting in 15 of them. He has scored five goals and recorded 6 assists throughout this 2016 season.
Zardes is a storied college player who scored 38 goals in his three year career in his three years at Cal State Bakersfield. Zardes was a key part of the Galaxy’s victory over the Portland Timbers last week. Robbie Keane and Zardes both scored goals early to keep their unbeaten streak intact.
The Galaxy will take on a tough Sounders team that will look for a energy boost from the home crowd as they move on from their long time manager.
