The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Dallas Mavericks today as they continue their road trip to Texas. The Lakers are coming off of a loss to the Chicago Bulls.
It is looking like the Lakers will be without Kobe Bryant for yet another game this evening. He told NBA.com that he needed to “reset [his] body” in order to be at operating power:
“You’ve got to face reality a little bit. I’m extremely competitive and I want to be efficient,” Bryant said. “I want to play at a high level and I have to work around what I can and can’t do and just accept that.”
As for the Mavericks, they in an adjusting position as well. They are currently trying to format new teammate Rajon Rondo into the team. NBA.com said this about the former Celtic:
“We’re three games in (with Rondo),” coach Rick Carlisle said after his team committed a season-high 20 turnovers. “Three games in four days. We’ve got more work to do. When you have a couple of games like we’ve had the last two nights it feels like you’re light years away, but we’re a lot closer than it feels. We’ve just got to stick with it.”
