Dawson played his college ball at Michigan State for four years. He was selected in the second round of the 2015 NBA Draft by the New Orleans Pelicans before being traded to Los Angeles on draft night.
In his rookie campaign Dawson spent more than most of the year in the D-League. Since Los Angeles does not have their own D-League team he bounced around with a couple of different clubs on assignment.
In 29 games in the D-League he averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds a game. Dawson was arrested for spousal abuse back in March.
With the Clippers signing Brandon Bass this offseason along with Marreese Speights it made Dawson expendable. As more information surfaces on the Clippers and their offseason news we will keep you up to date.
