Stone is a 6’11 big man from Milwaukee, Wisconsin who played his college ball at Maryland. In his lone season at Maryland Stone was named the Associated Press Big Ten Newcomer of the year.
He was also a Third Team All-Big Ten selection and was named to the All-Freshman team as well. At just 19-years old Stone will have a chance to learn under Doc Rivers and behind DeAndre Jordan.
With Cole Aldrich leaving in free agency it opens a spot of Stone to come and compete for minutes as rookie. Los Angeles did sign Marreese Speights this summer as well who will see time at the center and power forward slots.
