Forbort is a former first round pick of the Kings back in the 2010 NHL draft. Last season he found his way up to the NHL after spending time in the AHL.
In 14 games he recorded two points, one goal and one assists. Forbort will provide depth in the defensemen category for the Kings as he will most likely be back in forth with the Ontario Reign and Kings.
