C.J. Cron Out For At Least Six Weeks

@angels_fanly

The Angels has announced that C.J. Cron will be out for at least six weeks. Cron will have surgery to repair a broken left hand, that he suffered in the past series with the Baltimore Orioles. Orioles pitcher Mike Wright hit Cron in Friday’s win over the Orioles, 9-5.

Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times confirmed the news.

In the top of the sixth inning of this game, Cron was hit for the second time in this game, on a 1-0 pitch. The designated hitter and first baseman was the team’s hottest hitter before the All-Star break. Cron’s batting average soured in the past 23 games, hitting over .350. The latest injury to Cron is just another in a season which the team has been plagued with. Cron is the seventh Angel player that has landed on the disabled list this season.
