Cory Rasmus Undergoes Surgery

According to Alden Gonzalez of MLB.com, Los Angeles Angels pitcher Cory Rasmus underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair a core injury.
Angels announce that Cory Rasmus, out since June 13, needs surgery to repair a core injury, which sounds similar to what he had last year.

The Angels confirmed the news on their official Twitter account.

Rasmus was limited to 16 games last season due to various injuries. So far this season he has pitched in 14 games. In his 14 games he has started in 1 game and sports a 0-2 record.
The right-hander has posted a 5.40 ERA in 21.2 innings of work. At this time it is unknown how much longer Rasmus will be out. He has been out for close to a month with the other injuries in the rotation it has made life difficult for the Halos.
