Corey Seager Makes NL All-Star

@truebluela

According to Bill Shaikin of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager has been to his first career All-Star game.

Andy McCullough of the Times also reported the news.

Doug Gottlieb of CBS Sports shared his thoughts on Seager being a reserve.

Seager was a first round pick of the Dodgers in the 2012 MLB Draft. After a few years in the minors Seager was called up to the Majors last season and played in 27 games.

This season with Los Angeles he is hitting .305 with 17 home runs to go along with 41 RBI’s. He has 100 hits and 20 doubles and he is one of the bright young stars in baseball.

Although fans are unhappy that he isn’t starting it is an honor for Seager to be named an All-Star at such a young age.

Congratulations Corey Seager!
