Dodgers Win 4th Consecutive Game

Brandon McCarthy tossed 5 strong shutout innings for the Dodgers on Sunday, helping pave the way for a 4-1 victory.
A solo shot by Trayce Thompson gave the Dodgers the early lead in the 2nd, which turned into a 3 run inning after RBI’s from McCarthy and Justin Turner. LA took a 3-0 lead into the 7th until Casey Fien gave up the only run allowed by a Dodgers pitcher all day, but Yasmani Grandal got it back in the bottom of the 7th on his 8th bomb of the year.
Joe Blanton came on and struck out the side in his inning of work. Kenley Jansen allowed one hit and struck out three in his inning of work.
The Dodgers went on to win by a final score of 4-1, their 4th straight win. With the win Los Angeles improves their record to 47-37. Yovani Gallardo will square off against Julio Urias. Urias sports a 1-2 record with a 4.09 ERA through 33 inning and has struck out 41 batters.
