According to Ramona Shelburne of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Clippers are interested in free agent forward Matt Barnes.
Barnes played with the Memphis Grizzlies last season and is looking to find a new home. Barnes played in 76 games last season with Memphis and started in 45 games.
He averaged 10 points and 5 rebounds a game last season while shooting a career low 38% from the field. Barnes known for his fearless and tenacious defense could fit a need that the Clippers have after the departure of Jeff Green to the Orlando Magic.
Barnes spent three years in Los Angeles with the Clippers before leaving for Memphis. Barnes and Doc Rivers had their fair share of disagreements and it will be interesting to see if the two will be able to put their differences to the side.
