Perron was originally drafted by the Blues in the first round of the 2007 NHL Draft. He spent six years with the Blues before joining the Edmonton Oilers, followed by the Pittsburgh Penguins.
Last season with the Ducks Perron played in 28 games totaling 20 points. He scored 8 goals and had 12 assists in 14:49 average ice time.
So far the Ducks have lost two player in free agency. Anaheim will look to improve on a disappointing finish to last season.
