Lakers Interested In Chandler Parsons?

@LakersNationBR

According to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Lakers are interested in free agent forward Chandler Parsons.

Parsons who played his college basketball with Billy Donovan at the University of Florida, was originally drafted by the Houston Rockets. The 6’10” forward has the ability to shoot the ball and after the Rockets failed to match the offer sheet went and signed with the Dallas Mavericks.

In Dallas Parsons has played well but has struggled with various injuries. Parson has built the reputation as one of the best recruiters in the league as well. He was a major factor in the recruiting of Dwight Howard in Houston. He also was on the brink of getting DeAndre Jordan to sign with the Mavs.

With Parsons ability to shoot and defend with his length and size he is looking for a major pay-day with the increased salary cap. Reports have surfaced that the Mavericks are focused on Hassan Whiteside and Mike Conley and if they swing in miss on those they will offer Parsons and solid deal. The problem is that reports have surfaced that Mavs are hesitate to offer Parsons the max deal that he is looking for.

If the Lakers believe in Parsons and Los Angeles is unable to sign any of the other big names Parsons might be their next option.
