Astros Score 2 In 9th Angels Fall 4-2

The Houston Astros scored 2 runs in the 9th inning to beat the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim 4-2 on Monday night. For the Halos they have lost seven out of the last eight games.
For the Halos Matt Shoemaker got the start. He pitched 6 innings allowing 5 hits and no runs. He walked 1 and struck out 6 as he was awarded a no decision.
On the other side Connor McHugh got the start. He pitched 6 innings as well allowing 6 hits and 2 runs. He walked 3 and struck out 3 as he was awarded a no decision as well.
After a quiet first three and half innings the Angels got on the board first. Mike Trout hit his 17th home run of the year to put the Angels up 1-0.
In the 6th inning C.J. Cron hit a RBI single to left field that brought in Trout and pushed the lead to 2-0.
Houston rallied back in the 7th. George Springer grounded out to short but brought in Carlos Gomez. Jose Altuve followed with a RBI single to left that brought in Jake Marisnick and tied the game at 2-2.
In the 9th inning Carlos Correa hit a sacrifice fly that brought in Jason Castro. Springer scored on a wild pitch and the Astros took a 4-2 lead.
Will Harris came on in the 9th and picked up his 7th save of the year. The Angels will square off against the Astros again tonight at the Big A at 7:05 p.m.
