The Los Angeles Lakers won against the Golden State Warriors on Tuesday night, 115-105. The Lakers were without Kobe Bryant but delivered a collective effort in the win to snap a 3-game skid.

The Lakers were coming off a loss to the Sacramento Kings on Sunday night and looked to win against a dominant Golden State Warriors team, the top team in the NBA so far this season.

Kobe Bryant sat out tonight’s game due to fatigue. He played 38 minutes and shot 8-30 on Sunday night and looks to regain his legs back against the Chicago Bulls on Christmas Day.

The Lakers started the 1st quarter strong; shooting 61% from the field to build a 34-24 advantage with eight out of nine players making a basket. The Lakers stayed hot on both ends in the 2nd quarter, forcing the Warriors to commit 12 turnovers to give them a 63-48 lead at the end of the first half.

The Lakers picked up where they left off in the 3rd quarter. Despite a quick 9-2 run by the Warriors to cut the lead to 10, the Lakers countered to push the lead to 21. Ronnie Price led the way by hitting 3 three-pointers in the short run to give the Lakers a 95-73 lead after three-quarters. The Lakers went on to win, 115-105.

The Lakers shot from 52% the field and 46% from the beyond the arc. They snapped the Warriors’ 27-game streak of holding the opposing team under 50% shooting. Seven Lakers scored in double figures in the win, led by Carlos Boozer’s 18 points off the bench. Ed Davis had a perfect 7-7 for 14 points and Ronnie Price had 15 points and 7 assists. Rookie Jordan Clarkson saw the floor tonight after several DNP’s, playing 15 minutes.

The Lakers’ defense was active tonight, forcing 20 turnovers with 11 steals and blocking 10 shots. Jordan Hill had four blocks for himself.

The Splash Brothers, Steph Curry and Klay Thompson combined for 40 points for the Warriors. David Lee, on his second game back from injury, scored 12 points and grabbed 7 rebounds.

The Lakers snapped a 3-game losing streak to improve to 9-19 on the season and travel to Chicago on Christmas Day to take on the Bulls, 5PM PST.
