Atlanta is believed to want to retain Horford’s services and are looking to make some trade to make re-signing the All-Star big man easier Stein reported.
Back to Hawks: Sources say they’ll now try to trade their two first-rounders (one from the Teague deal) to make re-signing Al Horford easier

Earlier yesterday the Hawks traded All-Star point guard Jeff Teague in a three team trade. The move will allow Dennis Schroder to take over the point guard duties.
With the Lakers expected to pick Brandon Ingram in today’s NBA draft they will still have a whole at the center position. Roy Hibbert started at the five last year and if they can bring in Horford it would be a huge upgrade.
Horford has the ability to play the power forward and center spot. He has three point range and is a veteran who can mesh well with the young talent already in place.
However, the Orlando Magic and Detroit Pistons are expected to pursue Horford as well. I’m sure there will be some other teams that will call when free agency begins July 1.
