Ducks Trade Frederik Andersen To Maple Leafs

@MapleLeafs

According to Pierre LeBrun of ESPN.com the Anaheim Ducks have traded goaltender Frederik Andersen to the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register also reported the news.

James Mirtle of TSN reported that the Maple Leafs had some competition for Andersen.

The Leafs quickly then agreed to a five-year extension with the goaltender.

Mirtle spoke to the Leafs about the deal.

With the Ducks already with All-Star goaltender John Gibson on the roster and demand for goaltending around the league Anaheim was able to cash in their chips and receive two draft picks.
