Danny Woodhead Injured In Minicamp

According to Micheal Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune, San Diego Chargers running back Danny Woodhead suffered an ankle injury in minicamp yesterday.
Biggest scare, by far, of Chargers’ spring developing now: RB Danny Woodhead down, being evaluated. Possible leg injury of some sort.

Gehlken reported further details on the injury.

Tom Krosovic of the Tribune also shared his thoughts.
Chargers Park got very quiet after Danny Woodhead went down. Some 20 players, several kneeling and looking down, surrounded him & trainer.

It looks like the injury was more of a scare than anything and Woodhead should be okay. He played in all 16 games last season, starting in 1 and provides depth in the backfield.
Last season with the Bolts he rushed for 336 yards and added 80 receiving yards. As more information surfaces on the injury we will keep you up to date.
