Guerrero had been designated for assignment about a week ago and now is free to sign with anyone who is interested. The release shows the Dodgers admitted defeat in Guerrero who struggled in the Majors after having a strong career in Cuba.
In the majors he struggled on the defensive end and only hit .224 as well. Los Angeles cut ties with Carl Crawford as well showing the team is willing to admit that their investments were futile.
Los Angeles sits at 32-29 on the year and will take on the San Francisco Giants this weekend.
