Corey Seager Lifts Dodgers Over Braves
- Updated: June 5, 2016
Corey Seager absolutely went off on Friday night in the Dodgers’ 4-2 victory over the Braves. 3 bombs for the kid. One in the 4th, one in the 6th, and one in the 8th.
Thompson got in on the action with a solo shot of his own, his 9th of the season in the 6th inning. Toss in a very strong start by Kenta Maeda (6.1 IP, 2 runs, 1 ER), and you’ve got yourself a very tidy 4-2 win over a struggling Braves team. The victory snapped the Dodgers’ mini skid, in which they had lost back to back games.
Seager’s performance was one for the ages and one that he and Dodger fans will never forget.
LA is 5.5 games back of the Giants for 1st in the NL West ahead of Saturday night’s scheduled tilt against the Braves. Clayton Kershaw will get the ball for the Dodgers in game 2.
