According to Brad Turner of the Los Angeles Times, Los Angeles Clippers small forward Wesley Johnson will not pick up his player option and become a free agent this summer.

Johnson, the former first round pick of the Minnesota Timberwolves has bounced around the league so far his career. After two years with the Timberwolves he was traded to the Phoenix Suns and then became a free agent where he signed with the Los Angeles Lakers.

After two years with the Lakers Johnson signed with the Los Angeles Clippers as looked to win a ring. Johnson played a relatively reserve role after starting for the Lakers last two years which was expected.

The athletic wing man was lethal at corner threes last season the Clippers will try to bring him back. It will be interesting to see at what price though.

With the increased bump in salary cap there will be a lot of money in the marketplace and Johnson may command more money than Doc Rivers and the front office can afford to cough up.

What do you think Clipper fans? Do you think the Clippers should make sure Wesley Johnson is back next season?
