- Updated: May 29, 2016
That was one heck of a game! Let’s recap it real quick again, all the fun started in the 3rd inning.
So…first this happened.

Noah Syndegaard gets ejected for throwing behind Chase Utley and that ejection made a lot of Mets fans mad because they felt like there was no warning but (9) of rule 8.02 of the Official MLB Rules state:
(c) (8.02) Pitching Prohibitions The pitcher shall not:
(9) Intentionally Pitch at the Batter.(1) If, in the umpire’s judgment, such a violation occurs, the umpire may elect either to:
(A) Expel the pitcher, or the manager and the pitcher, from the game, or
(B) may warn the pitcher and the manager of both teams that another such pitch will result in the immediate expulsion of that pitcher (or a replacement) and the manager.
So the umpire was totally in his right to kick him out, no warning was needed. Play ball.
The game was pretty bland until the 6th when Chase Utley came to bat to a chorus of boos and I said jokingly that the Mets fans boos are giving him power and then this happened:

Solo shot, yeah! OK Chase way to get back at them!
Then the 7th inning happened, Utley comes up to the plate with one out and the bases loaded to another chorus of boos and “Hit him! Hit him!”, it’s perfect right? No way he hits it out no…no….

Chase Utley got back at the Mets the way you get back at the other team who threw at you, you don’t let your pitcher retaliate, you beat them and you beat them good! The Mets will never throw at Utley again,
Oh and uh, Adrian Gonzalez, Howie Kendrick and Corey Seager all hit home-runs too, who cares. This was the Chase Utley show.

Oh how fun.
Tomorrow’s matchup is at 5:00PM Pacific on ESPN2, which means all of Los Angeles should be able to watch.
LAD: Clayton Kershaw (7-1 , 1.48 ERA)
NYM: Bartolo Colon (4-3 , 3.44 ERA)
It seems one sided but baseball is funny and I won’t jinx it, see you then!
