Pujols Lifts Halos Over Rangers

Albert Pujols hit his 569th home run of his career to lift the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim over the Texas Rangers 2-0 on Monday night.
Nick Tropeano got the start for the Halos. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing four hits and one walk. He struck out six and picked up his third win of the year.
On the other side Derek Holland got the start on the other side. He pitched 6.2 innings allowing seven hits and two runs. He walked one and struck out four as he picked up his fourth loss of the year.
The only runs of the game came in third inning. Pujols hit a two-run shot to left center field that brought in Mike Trout and the Angels beat the Rangers 2-0.
Joe Smith came on in the ninth inning and struck out one and was awarded his sixth save of the year.
The Rangers will send Martin Perez to the mound while the Angels will send Jhoulys Chacin tonight at 5:05 p.m. PST
