Giants Walk-off Against Padres

Hunter Pence hit a walk-off bloop single in the 9th inning to lift the San Francisco Giants over the San Diego Padres 1-0 on Monday night.
For San Francisco Johnny Cueto continued to be spectacular. He pitched a complete game allowing just two hits while striking out six batters. With the win he pushed his record on the season to 7-1.
On the other side Drew Pomeranz got the start. He pitched seven innings allowing two hits. He walked four and struck out four batters as he was awarded a no decision for his efforts.
Pence drove in the only run of the game in the bottom of the ninth inning. His bloop single brought in Brandon Belt and gave the Giants the victory.
For the Giants they are one of the hottest teams in baseball. They have won eleven of their last twelve games and currently sit at 28-19 on the season.
Tonight they will send Jeff Samardzija to the mound to square off against Andrew Cashner. Fans can watch tonight’s game on ESPN at 7:15 p.m. PST
