Slauson is former 6th round pick of the University of Nebraska in the 2009 NFL Draft by the New York Jets. He spent three years with the Jets before joining the Bears for the last three years.
Last year with the Bears he played and started in 16 games. San Diego is looking to adding help on the offensive line this offseason. The club did draft Matt Turek out of USC in the third round but having a veteran at the position wouldn’t hurt.
Slauson has a connection with the Buffalo Bills organization having played for head coach Rex Ryan. Ryan may end up being a suitor for Slauson’s services.
