Dodgers win, party time! #popcornremix
Today’s game started at 1:10PM and by 3:30 Clayton Kershaw not only had his 13th shutout and 22nd complete game of his career, 14 strikeouts, zero walks, but he also had the game’s only run batted in.
After an A.J. Ellis double in the top of the 3rd, Kershaw worked the count 1-2 and choking up on the bat, hit an off-speed pitch up the middle past the shortstop into centerfield, scoring Ellis. That was all that was needed to end the Dodgers 6 game win streak.
Kershaw continues to show why he’s the best in the business.
Tomorrow the Dodgers travel to St. Petersburg, Florida to play their first Interleague game against Andrew Friedman’s former team the Tampa Bay Rays. Start time is 4:10PM (7:10PM ET) and the pitching match up will be:
Los Angeles: Scott Kazmir (1-2, 5.76 ERA) vs Tampa Bay: Matt Moore (1-2, 3.66 ERA)
