According to Marc Stein of ESPN.com the Los Angeles Lakers will strongly consider San Antonio Spurs assisant Ettore Messina for their head coaching vancany.

Messina is highly respected around the league and looks to be a top target for Los Angeles. Many people believe that Luke Walton is the prefered candidate but Messina could challenge for the job.
