Angels Lose To Brewers, 5-4

‏@Markgubicza

The Los Angeles Angels ran into a player that was swinging a very hot bat, as they lose to the Milwaukee Brewers, in Milwaukee, 5-4.

Chris Carter, who hasn’t been a stranger to hitting the long ball, slugged two homers and drove-in three to carry the Brewers to the win. His homer in the bottom of the fifth, was the second of back to back homers off Angels starter Nick Tropeano (1-1). Tropeano, who went five innings, giving up five hits, striking out six and giving up all five runs.

The Angels produced all of their runs in the first and third innings, with our two big guns, Albert Pujols and Mike Trout, both driving in three of the four runs scored.

HALOS DUGOUT:

In this game, Tropeano was very uneasy after the second homer to Carter, the bullpen did manage to keep the Brewers off the scoreboard afterwards, but the team wasn’t able to score after the third inning.

ANGELS ON DECK:

The team will conclude the three game series with the Brewers today from Miller Park, in an early afternoon affair. Los Angeles, 12-15, fourth in the American League West, will send Hector Santiago (2-1, 3.34 ERA), to face Zach Davies (0-3, 8.78 ERA) for the Brewers. Game time is set for 1:40 pm from Milwaukee.
