Angels Struggle With Latos, Fall 5-0

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim struggled with Mat Latos on Tuesday night and fell 5-0. Latos who has struggled with injuries throughout his career has started the 2016 campaign on fire.

Latos got the start for the White Sox and pitched 6.1 innings. He allowed just two hits while striking out five batters. With the win his record improved to 3-0 on the year.

On the other side Matt Shoemaker got the start. He pitched 6.1 innings as well allowing six hits and two runs while striking out four batters. With the loss his record dropped to 1-2 on the season.

Todd Frazier got the Sox on the board in the second inning with a solo shot to left field. For the Home Run Derby champion it was his third homerun of the season.

In the fourth inning Jose Abreu got in on the action. He hit a solo shot to center field that was his third bomb of the year as well.

With the Sox up 2-0 in the 8th inning Melky Cabrera hit a 2-run single that brought in Jimmy Rollins and Frazier that pushed the lead to 4-0. Brett Lawrie followed with a RBI single and the White Sox held on to win 5-0.

Los Angeles with continue their series with the White Sox today at 11:10 a.m. PST.
