Bass signed with Los Angeles last summer and was brought in to provide some veteran leadership to this young team. With the salary cap shooting up this summer Bass will most likely seek a multi-year deal in a situation where he has a chance to win.
Given the history that Bass has with Los Angeles Clippers head coach Doc Rivers don’t be surprised if the Clippers look to make a run at the veteran this summer.
With Bass opting out the Lakers will have even more salary cap space this summer as they try to rebuild their team. Los Angeles will try to sign two max players to recover after the worst two seasons in franchise history.
