Angels Blank White Sox 7-0

The Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim rocked young pitcher Carlos Rodon whose night ended before it started and beat the White Sox 7-0 on Monday night.
For the Angels Hector Santiago got the start. He pitched 7 innings allowing 2 hits, striking out 10, and walking 3. He was awarded his first victory of the season.
On the other Rodon struggled to say the least. He pitched just 1/3 of a inning allowing 6 hits, 5 runs, while he walked two batters. He picked up his second loss of the season.
The Halos got on the board early when Kole Calhoun hit a 2-run single to right field that brought in Yunel Escobar and Mike Trout. Andrelton Simmons followed with a RBI single that brought in Albert Pujols.
Geovany Soto added to the inning with a RBI single, and Johnny Giavotella hit a RBI single to right field that brought in Simmons and the Angels lead 5-0 after one.
C.J. Cron got in on the action with a RBI single to left in the third inning. He hit another RBI single in the 8th inning to give the Angels a 7-0 lead and victory. Los Angeles will continue their series with the White Sox tonight at 5:10 p.m. PST.
