Angels Are Now At .500, After A Beating Oakland, 5-4

@halosheaven

Late inning heroics, was the key to Los Angeles Angels picking up the victory over the Oakland A’s, 5-4.

Oakland’s closer Sean Doolittle gave up the game winning home run to his former battery-mate, Geovany Soto, as the Angels found the formula to erase a 4-1 deficit after the seventh inning, to win this game.

The Angels needed the big rally in the top of the eight inning to help them get close, to narrow the gap to 4-3, thanks to a key single by Daniel Nada that put Yunel Escobar on second. Another key hit in the inning was a double to left by Albert Pujols, which scored Yunel Escobar. Escobar ended this game with three big hits to lead the team. Hector Santiago was decent in his second start of the season, working 7.2/3, allowing seven hits, only striking out three and giving up four runs on the 108 pitches he used. Reliever Mike Morin,(W,1-0), picked up the win, on only five pitches thrown.

ANGELS DUGOUT:

With the win, the Angels are back to .500, but the two big stars are starting out very slow coming out the starting gate. Albert Pujols is only batting,(.167), and Mike Trout is hitting,(.185). We all know that the stars has to be on point, for the success of this team.
