Starter Andrew Heaney went six innings and struck out seven, but two homers by the Cubs in that third inning, was the deciding point in the game.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, the Halo fans finally had something to cheers about, when Craig Gentry singled to left, scoring Yunel Escobar for the only run of the game and this brief two-game series to start the season. The Angels will seek some revenge, as they will face the Cubs again later this season at Wrigley Field, in the Windy City.

HALO’S ON DECK:
The team will remain at home to welcome in the Texas Rangers. The Halos will send Hector Santiago to face Derek Holland for Texas. This is the first of four between the two divisional rivals. The game will start at 7:05 PST at Angels Stadium.
