Lakers Embarrassed In Utah 123-75

The Los Angeles Lakers were embarrassed in Utah on Monday night by a score of 123-75. Last night tied the largest defeat in Lakers franchise history.
Kobe Bryant struggled in his final game in Utah. He scored just 5 points on 1/11 shooting from the field. Lou Williams reached double figures off the bench with 16 points in 18 minutes of play.
Jordan Clarkson scored 12 points to go along with 8 rebounds. Rodney Hood stole the show for Utah. He scored 30 points at halftime including 8 three points.
Shelvin Mack scored 17 points and Derrick Favors added 14 points and 9 rebounds. Gordon Hayward had a quiet night with 11 points. Trevor Booker and Trey Lyles both reached double figures off the bench with 17 and 11 points respectively.
The problem that has been constant all season on the defensive side of the ball. Los Angeles allowed the Jazz to shoot 52% from the field including 53% from behind the line. Utah also outrebounded the Lakers 57-37 had 26 assists compared to 11.
Los Angeles got beat in every facet of the game tonight and it was an uninspired effort. As Bryant’s farewell tour comes to a close hopefully Los Angeles can do something to try and right the ship.
