Staples Center To Host 2018 NBA All-Star Weekend

According to Mike Bresnahan of the Los Angeles Times the Staples Center will play host to the 2018 NBA All-Star Game.
Staples Center will host the 2018 NBA All-Star Game, the league will officially announce Tuesday before the Lakers host Memphis.

Lakers, Clippers officials both in attendance for Adam Silver’s announcement. They’ll share hosting responsibilities for 2018 All-Star game.

He added.
Staples Center also hosted NBA All-Star games in 2004 and 2011. So 2018 made sense as per (unofficial) seven-year meter.

Many players have complained about the All-Star game being in cold weather the last two years. In 2015 the game was held in New York and this season in Toronto.
The NHL has already announced the 2017 NHL All-Star game will be held at Staples Center. With Los Angeles also looking to host the Olympics at some point Los Angeles continues to be the hotbed of entertainment.
