Ducks Shutout Boston Bruins 4-0

The Anaheim Ducks used a strong performance from Frederik Andersen to shutout the Boston Bruins 4-0 on Friday night.
Jamie McGinn got Anahiem off to a fast start. He scored a tip-in shot at the 2:51 mark that was assisted by Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf and the Ducks held a 1-0 advantage.
Just over a minute later Ryan Kesler got on the score sheet. He scored a wrist shot goal that was assisted by Andrew Cogliano and Jakob Silfverberg and Anaheim held a 2-0 lead after one.
In the second period neither team was able to score as the Bruins outshot the Ducks 16-10 in the period. 58 seconds into the the third period Hampus Lindholm scored a slap shot goal that pushed the lead to 3-0. Getzlaf was credited with the assist.
Rickard Rakell capped things off with a snap shot goal. David Perron and Hampus Lindholm were credited with the assists and Anaheim went on to win 4-0.
Andersen made 38 saves for the shutout. Jonas Gustavsson made 22 saves for a 85% save percentage. Anaheim will take on the Winnipeg Jets on Sunday afternoon.
