NBA Shortens Free Agency Moratorium

Lebron

According to Adrian Wojnarowski of the Vertical the NBA and NBPA have agreed to a shorten free agency moratorium.

Wojnarowski added to the news.

The moratorium period is something that has been around the NBA for years but didn’t really surface as a problem until last summer. With the increased salary cap this summer more teams than ever will be active in free agency.

As more teams get active in the bidding war it makes sense that the NBA address the issue that became a huge story over the summer. This five day period instead of seven just gives players less time to waver on a decision. I don’t think this will affect free agency too much but hey I could be wrong.
