James Lifts Cavs Over Lakers

LeBron James lifted the Cleveland Cavaliers over Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Laker 120-108 on Thursday. It what will go down as the last time these two future Hall of Famers face off fans got their money’s worth.

Channing Frye started in place of Kevin Love who missed the game due to a leg injury. Fyre had his best game as Cavalier as he scored 21 points to go along with 7 rebounds.

Kyrie Irving also had a strong game showing off his ball handling skills to the Laker crowd. He scored 26 points to go along with 9 assists.

James chipped in 24 points to go along with 7 assists and 5 rebounds. J.R. Smith added 17 points, while Tristan Thompson recorded a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds. Matthew Dellavedova added 11 points off the bench.

For the Lakers Bryant scored 26 points in an excellent night shooting. Here are some of the highlights.

D’Angelo Russell had a solid game of his own adding 24 points. Julius Randle had 15 points and 9 rebounds including this monster throwdown.

Marcelo Huertas scored a career high 13 points, and Brandon Bass reached double figures with 12 points and 8 rebounds off the bench.

The Cavs connected on 16 of their 35 three point attempts which was too much for the Lakers to overcome. Up next Los Angeles will take on the New York Knicks at the Staples Center on Sunday night. Fans can get tickets here.
