We like to start our day searching the web and reading articles about our beloved LA sports teams. It’s easy to get lost in the depth of the inter web, but luckily for you we have compiled a list of the most interesting and pertinent news stories for your morning reading pleasure. For this edition, let’s dive into the news surrounding the San Diego Chargers.

After yesterday’s loss, the San Diego Chargers need some help:

“The road to the Super Bowl runs through two sites, Sports Authority Field in Denver and Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Mass., the main stops in the AFC playoffs.

The Chargers may not see either.

Not after what they did at home.

A chance to visit the Broncos or Patriots next month may have been spoiled at Qualcomm Stadium, the team losing to both in consecutive weeks. On Sunday, the Chargers lost more than a game in a 22-10 defeat to Denver.

They lost control.

“We had it in our hands, and we fumbled it,” tackle King Dunlap said.

Two games remain in the regular season. Winning both won’t be enough.”

Chargers kicker, Nick Novak puts the blame on himself after todays defeat:

“Last week, kicker Nick Novak was hailed as a savior after he stepped in to replace injured punter Mike Scifres during the Chargers’ eventual defeat to New England.

This week, Novak pinned the Chargers’ 22-10 defeat to the Denver Broncos on himself, ruing his two unsuccessful field goals that kept the Chargers down 9-3 instead of tying the score while the game was still within reach.

“I take responsibility as the reason we lost this game. Put it on me,” an emotional Novak said, his eyes red-rimmed. “It’s part of being a pro, the ups and downs.

“I feel terrible for my team and my teammates. I’m going to make the next one and not let it affect me.”
