Chargers Release Donald Butler

‏@NFL

According to Micheal Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune the San Diego Chargers have released linebacker Donald Butler.

Gehlken reported further news concerning the roster move.

Butler tweeted his thanks to the fans of San Diego.

Butler is a former third round pick of the Chargers back in the 2010 NFL Draft. Butler appeared in all 16 games for the Bolts last season starting 9 of them.

He recorded a career low 24 tackles. With the emergence of Denzel Perryman Butler became expendable. We would like to thank Butler for his time with the Chargers and we will wish him the best of luck.
