Kevin Acee of the San Diego Union Tribune announced a new development for the Chargers project.
#Chargers announce they will, indeed, launch a citizens’ initiative downtown.

The idea behind the citizens initiative is suppose to help the Chargers avoid some of the processes that go into getting a new stadium approved.
This process of getting a new stadium approved will be a long process but the Bolts are in no rush to get anything done. They have the option to join the Los Angeles Rams in LA next season. They are already locked into their stadium deal for this season.
