Lakers Host San Antonio Spurs
- Updated: February 19, 2016
The Los Angeles Lakers will host the San Antonio Spurs tonight at the Staples Center. San Antonio is coming off a loss to the Los Angeles Clippers last night.
Los Angeles comes into this game with a 11-44 record while the Spurs sport a 45-9 clip. San Antonio will most likely be without Kawhi Leonard has he is dealing with a minor injury.
Anthony Brown is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest. He is dealing with an ankle injury and was limited in practice yesterday.
Larry Nance Jr. is expected to return tonight. He has missed the last six games with a lingering knee injury. With Leonard out last night second year player Kyle Anderson got the start for the Spurs.
With Leonard out the Spurs will rely on LaMarcus Aldridge to provide the offensive punch. Aldridge is averaging 16.9 points a game this year and was named a Western Conference All-Star.
Tony Parker is averaging 12.1 points per game this season but is ever so dangerous. Expect Jordan Clarkson to have a big game. Clarkson and D’Angelo Russell participated in some of the festivities at All-Star weekend and that should serve as a confidence booster for them.
This will be one of the last times Kobe Bryant and Tim Duncan square off against each other. These two rivals will forever be intertwined in basketball history.
