Montas is one of the top prospects in all of baseball and his surgery comes as a blow to the Dodgers organizational depth. Montas was part of the trade that took place in December that sent Todd Frazier to the Chicago White Sox.
In 112 innings at the Double-A level Montas posted a 2.97 ERA with 108 strikeouts. We hope for a speedy recovery from the youngster. As more information surfaces on the Dodgers and their offseason we will keep you up to date.
