With the procedure the timetable has not changed for Griffin’s return to the lineup. He is expected to miss four to six weeks his hand continues to heal.
The well documented incident occurred a few weeks ago when Griffin and a member of the equipment staff got into a altercation. Griffin proceeded to strike the staff member and broke his hand.
Since the incident the trade speculation has begun to surface for Griffin. The Denver Nuggets made a call to see if they could try to pry the star. It would not be surprising if other teams around the league have called Doc Rivers.
At this time I’m sure if the Clippers are really looking to move Griffin. The news of the second procedure doesn’t sound like it will affect the time table of his return to the lineup. I would expect Griffin to back sometime in mid to late March.
