Los Angeles Clippers Host T’Wolves
- Updated: February 3, 2016
The Los Angeles Clippers are riding high as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Staples Center. Head coach Doc Rivers was named coach of the month for January, and the team is coming off a strong win against the Chicago Bulls over the weekend.
J.J. Redick launched a podcast and the Clippers are currently sitting in fourth in the Western Conference. There is a lot to be happy about in Clipperland and they club has an opportunity to notch another win when they take on the T’Wolves who are playing the second night of a back to back.
This is the part where the Kobe Bryant fan in me goes on and on about Bryant scoring 38 points against the Wolves and his buddy Sam Mitchell. I kid I kid, but seriously this game is on ESPN so I’m sure they’ll remind everyone about it tonight.
Kevin Martin sat out for the Wolves last night and is highly questionable for tonight’s contest. He is dealing with a wrist injury and if he is out expect Zach LaVine to see more time.
Minnesota is led by Andrew Wiggins and rookie of the year candidate Karl-Anthony Towns. Wiggins is leading the team averaging 20.6 points a night while Towns is at 16.5 points per game and 9.9 rebounds.
Towns will have a tough time try to score on defensive juggernaut DeAndre Jordan but it will be a good learning experience for the kid.
Expect the Clippers to take of business tonight. Fans can tune into to ESPN at 7:30 PST to watch their team play.
