Lakers Try To End Losing Streak Vs. T’Wolves

The Los Angeles Lakers will take on the Minnesota Timberwolves on Tuesday night at the Staples Center. Los Angeles is on a franchise tying ten game losing streak and will look to put it to bed.

Minnesota comes into the game with a 14-35 record while the Lakers sport a 9-41 clip. Minnesota has lost four in a row entering tonight’s contest.

For the Wolves Nikola Pekovic is doubtful to play tonight. He is dealing with soreness in his foot. Minnesota will likely be cautious with Pekovic as they have a strong option with Gorgui Dieng as well.

Kevin Martin is also listed as doubtful. He is dealing with a wrist injury and has missed the last four games due to the injury.

Kevin Garnett is listed as doubtful too. He is dealing with a knee injury and he will probably miss his fifth consecutive game.

Adreian Payne was recalled from the D-League yesterday. He was sent down to the Erie Bayhawks to get some reps, but with the injuries the Wolves are facing he may get an opportunity tonight.

For Los Angeles Larry Nance Jr. is listed as out. He suffering from a knee injury and he will be shut down through the end of the All-Star break.

Kobe Bryant is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest. Bryant is being bothered with a right shoulder injury and it is unknown if he will be able to go at the time of this writing.

It will be a battle of the number one and number two picks of the 2015 NBA draft. Karl Anthony-Towns and D’Angelo Russell will square off for many more years to come.
