The San Diego Padres have busy this off season with quite a few trades and signing. Another move was reported this morning by MLB network insider Jon Heyman via twitter.

The deal has yet to be announced by the San Diego Padres. But I figure this deal will be done here shortly as relief pitchers Craig Kimbrel and Joaquin Benoit were traded this off season.
Fernando Rodney this 2015 past season went earned (16) out of (23) save opportunities totaling at a 69.6% conversion rate.
The 38 year old Rodney went (7-5, 4.74 ERA) and a WHIP of (1.40) in 62.2 innings pitched. This move ensures some bullpen security late in games as the Padres look to continue to improve for 2016.
Rodney should be a solid addition for the club and should be able to provide some excellent veteran leadership.
