According to Steve Kyler of BasketballInsiders.com the Los Angeles have made a few trade calls in a effort to move Roy Hibbert.

Kyler also reported the Lakers have explored some trades involving Brandon Bass as well.
They have made some calls trying to move off guys like Roy Hibbert and Brandon Bass, not sure there is a market. https://t.co/f0ulO2TqJB

Hibbert is a defensive player whose contract is up at the end of the season and may be looking for a new home this offseason. My guess is that Mitch Kupchak is trying to move Hibbert to a team seeking a rim protector in order to collect some more draft picks for the future.
It will be interesting to see if anyone in on the market can handle that contract of 15 million or think Hibbert can provide the necessary help to take them to the next level.
Los Angeles is coming off a loss to the Houston Rockets at home last night where Hibbert scored 8 points and grabbed 1 rebound in 26 minutes.
