Melvin Gordon Undergoes Successful Knee Surgery

According to Micheal Gehlken of the San Diego Union Tribune San Diego Chargers running back Melvin Gordon underwent successful knee surgery yesterday.
Chargers RB Melvin Gordon had knee surgery today in Florida. Went well, source said; full recovery expected. Dr. James Andrews performed it.

Gehlken reported the news of the surgery on Monday.

Gordon struggled this season rushing for just 641 yards on 184 carries. The Chargers ranked at the bottom of the NFL in rushing offense.
Gordon was a first round pick out of the University of Wisconsin last year and was expected to be a major piece of the Chargers offense.
