Lakers Take On Suns At Staples Center
- Updated: January 3, 2016
The Los Angeles Lakers will look for their third straight win when they take on the Phoenix Suns at Staples Center on Sunday night.
Phoenix is coming off an ugly loss to the Sacramento Kings last night in which the Suns gave up 140 points. There have been rumors about the standing of head coach Jeff Hornacek as people believe the team is not responding to him anymore.
Los Angeles comes into the game with a 7-27 record, while the Suns sport a 12-24 clip. Phoenix will be without Eric Bledsoe who torn his ACL and had successful surgery and is out for the rest of the year.
In last night’s night game Tyson Chandler was ejected after receiving two technicals. Ronnie Price returned to the lineup after missing a few games with a toe injury.
Jon Leuer also returned to the lineup after missing a few games due to an ankle injury. Price and Leuer should be available for the Suns tonight.
Kobe Bryant is expected to be a gametime decision tonight. He missed the Lakers last game due to shoulder injury. With Bledsoe out, Phoenix is led by Brandon Knight.
He was traded to the team last season in a three-team deal and is averaging almost 20 points per game. Los Angeles will try to use their momentum to make it three in a row tonight.
